The fundamental objective of the Degree in Pharmacy is to provide broad and general scientific, technical and health training in all aspects related to drugs and medicines that qualifies the pharmacist to develop with competence, in a general way, the functions required in the different fields where he exercises his professional work and in particular, he can be integrated into the chemical-pharmaceutical industry and the health care system, as well as carry out experimental designs in the field of health sciences. The Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy qualifies whoever holds it for the profession of Pharmacist and empowers him exclusively in front of other professionals, for the exercise of said health profession in aid of others or on his own.
The Graduates or Graduates in Pharmacy, in free competition with other professionals, will be responsible for activities aimed at the production and conservation of medicines, collaboration in analytical processes, functions in healthcare, research, teaching, clinical management, prevention and health information and education.
Specific professional activities of pharmacists:
- Pharmacy office. The owner of a Pharmacy Office must be a pharmacist.
- Hospital pharmacy. It requires a specialization.
